Task 1

 Introduction to trench warfare within appropriated texts

Go to http://www.youtube.com and type in ‘trench warfare’ 

and many videos will come up.

Watch any three that have World War I in the title and make

 1 A4 page summary (in dot points) on each of the videos that are viewed.

It is important to make a paragraph at the end

 of each summary that makes a comment on the historiography of the online clip.

Remember to include things like reliability, type of source, usefulness,

context, content, origin and intended audience/aim.

Studying texts that have been appropriated into modern audiences and

viewed on sites such as youtube give new levels of education which need to be

evaluated. If having trouble finding videos (which will not be the case!)

use the links page or the below hyperlinks.
